Returns & Refunds Policy

Last updated: 1 June 2026

Important notice

CustomFitForMe is a bespoke fashion marketplace. Every garment is made to order, to your specific measurements and requirements. Because of this, we do not accept returns on completed custom-made items. However, we have a clear revision and dispute process to ensure you are treated fairly if something is not right.

Refund limit: When you hire a designer, 50% of your payment is released to them immediately as a deposit. This deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances. The maximum refund available at any point is the remaining 50% held in escrow.

1. No Returns on Custom Orders

Custom-made garments are produced exclusively for you based on the measurements, fabrics, and design details you provided. As such, they cannot be resold or reused by the designer, and returns are not accepted once production has begun.

This does not affect your right to request revisions or raise a dispute if the garment does not match the agreed specification — both are covered below.

2. Revisions

If your garment does not match the agreed design, measurements, or specifications set out in your order, you have the right to request revisions before marking the order as complete.

How to request a revision

  1. Go to your order page and use the messaging system to describe the issue clearly, with photos where possible.
  2. The designer has 7 days to respond and propose a resolution.
  3. Minor alterations (e.g. hemming, minor fit adjustments) are generally included as agreed in the bid.
  4. Major changes outside the original specification may incur additional costs, which must be agreed before work begins.

Do not mark your order as "Completed" until you are satisfied with the result. Once you mark an order as complete, the final payment is released to the designer and the order is closed.

3. Dispute Resolution

If you and your designer cannot agree on a resolution within 7 days, you may escalate to a formal dispute. CustomFitForMe will mediate between both parties.

Grounds for a valid dispute

  • The garment significantly differs from the agreed design or specification.
  • The measurements are materially incorrect based on what you provided.
  • The order was not delivered within the agreed timeframe with no communication.
  • The garment arrived damaged or not as described.

How to raise a dispute

  1. On your order page, click "Raise a Dispute" (available while the order is in Delivered state).
  2. Provide a clear description of the issue and supporting evidence (photos, messages).
  3. Our team will review the case within 3–5 business days and contact both parties.
  4. We will make a fair determination based on the original order specification, communications, and evidence provided.

4. Refunds

Because 50% of your payment is released to the designer at the start of the project, the maximum refund we can issue is the 50% still held in escrow. The initial deposit is non-refundable once released. Refunds are issued at CustomFitForMe's discretion following a dispute investigation.

Platform fees (5%) are non-refundable in all circumstances. Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of a decision.

5. Cancellations

  • Before contract signing: Full refund of your payment — no deposit has been released yet.
  • After contract signing, before production begins: The 50% deposit has already been released to the designer and is non-refundable. The remaining 50% in escrow will be returned to you.
  • After production has begun: The 50% deposit is non-refundable. A portion of the escrow balance may be released to the designer based on work completed, with the remainder returned to you. CustomFitForMe will mediate if agreement cannot be reached.
  • After the garment is complete: No refund — the revision and dispute process applies instead.

6. Measurement Responsibility

Customers who provide their own measurements are responsible for their accuracy. If a garment does not fit due to incorrect measurements supplied by the customer, this does not constitute grounds for a refund. In such cases, the designer may offer alterations at an additional cost.

If you opted for a video measurement session with your designer, the session record will be used as part of any dispute investigation relating to fit.
